Bare-butted Bruno gets in Eminem’s face

Don’t get in Eminem’s face–especially not with your junk.

Earlier tonight, he left the 2009 MTV Video Awards after Bruno, a fictional character played by Sacha Baron Cohen and “host of Austrian Gay TV,” landed upside-down in Em’s lap, and that’s not the half of it.

Bruno was presenting the award for Best Male Performance, making his entrance suspended from wires and wearing feathers and nothing but a jockstrap to cover his lower half.

As he was brought towards the stage, Bruno “accidentally” hit something hanging from the rafters and went off-axis. In the video, he asks to be let down just before a feather floats in front of the real Slim Shady’s face, who is looking up with a “you gotta be kidding me” expression.

An MTV cameraman runs up the aisle to get a close-up shot of Bruno in a 69 position, practically teabagging the multi-platinum rapper who can see nothing but crack. (If you are unfamiliar with these terms, I suggest looking them up on Urban Dictionary, but I warn, their definitions are offensive.)

“Are you serious? Are you f**king serious? Yo, get this motherf**ker off me, man,” said an angered Eminem as his posse stands up and shoves Bruno, who’s still connected to the wires.

They push him back and forth like a tetherball several times before Eminem leads the way up the aisle. Without announcing the nominees, Bruno says the winner is Zac Efron for High School Musical 3, but Efron hardly realizes as Bruno is still the center of attention.

The Internet is buzzing with viewers wondering whether or not Eminem was in on it, though judging by the video, it seems MTV purposely lowered Bruno on the rapper without his consent to get a rise out of him and for some ratings.

This wouldn’t be the first time MTV has set up Eminem in an awkward situation. At the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, Eminem was seated two rows ahead of Moby and had to accept an award presented by Christina Aguilera, both of which he had previously dissed in song.

Both Eminem and Sacha Baron Cohen are controversial figures; Eminem for his lyrical content and Cohen for the various lawsuits that came from Borat.

But Eminem is considered to be short-tempered based off of the words in his songs and his disputes with artists such as Everlast, Insane Clown Posse and Limp Bizkit.

Not to mention that he’s headlined concerts for three years on the “Anger Management Tour,” originally a combination of well-known rap and rock artists.

This stunt happened twelve days after the release of Eminem’s sixth studio album Relapse, which sold 608,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week.
