a public declaration of intentions, opinions, objectives, or motives

For this project, we had to choose a theme for a manifesto and create one in InDesign. After seeing the graffiti documentary film Bomb It, I chose to make a manifesto in the mind of a graffiti artist.

Each bubble rotates ten degrees and contains images of graffiti gathered around the internet. The second piece is the most famous, being a stencil image of wrestler Andre the Giant by graphic designer Shepard Fairey, who uses Andre’s image in his clothing line, Obey Giant. The other images were gathered through Flickr and image search engines, and the text is in the style of graffiti, spraypaint stencils, and punch labels.
